Functional Medicine University (FMU) was founded in 2006 by Dr. Ron Grisanti, DC. It is one of the only truly self-paced and most affordable certifications. Qualifying clinicians earning the certification in the practice of functional medicine may use the acronym of CFMP® (Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner®) after their name. The non-physician price is $2395.00, with 6 and 12 month payment plans available, and they offer a 30 day money back guarantee; no questions asked. They also grant 12 hours of ACPE CE to pharmacists!
FMU has four enrollments a year. You can enroll or hold a seat for the next class at this link:

Fall (October)
Winter (January)
Spring (April)
Summer (July)
Each course is about an hour in length. There will be over 100 different lessons for a total of about 200 hours of training. This program will take 5-7 months if you can keep up with the flow of lessons made available on the system. However, you can go at your own speed.
All of the courses are archived as audio, video downloads and the slides for the training videos will be archived too so you can download the training material and have access to it forever! They also have a forum and a complete library full of handouts, questionnaires, diets, tracking forms; everything you need to be successful.
Special Bonus: You can now obtain your Diplomate in Nutrition with the American Clinical Board of Nutrition with FMU, as they offer the additional 100 hours FREE. So you can complete 200 Hours FMU program to get certified in functional medicine and take the additional 100 hours at no additional cost! This will give you the total 300 hours required to sit the Nutritional Diplomate exam.
The ACBN is one of only a very few certifying agencies in nutrition to offer Diplomate status to all professionals holding a doctorate in the health care field, in the United States and Internationally. Certificants of the ACBN hold the distinction of Diplomate, American Clinical Board of Nutrition (DACBN).
